The Austrian Roof Organisation of Homeless Initiatives BAWO
feels a deep regret towards the denial of human rights in Greece as is
the case in the question of the right to stay for migrant people and
the right to housing for all people within the European Union,
regardless of their origin and nationality.
It is a shame for Europe, being the cradle of western culture and
society, not to guarantee the most basic human rights to people who
seek survival, rescue and home in our countries.
We support the request for safety and help of all these migrant people
who are on hunger strike right now.
We ask the governments of Greece and of all European countries to open
up whatever support we can offer to all these people who have been
deprived of their homes, rights and securities.
