On the 25th of January 2011 300 migrant workers began a hunger-
strike in Athens. They are fighting for equal rights for all
workers in Greece, with or without papers, and for their own right
to live wherever they want.
Tonight, as part of the European Day of Solidarity, we furnished
the Greek embassy in Copenhagen with a message of international
solidarity: WE ARE 300.
Greece will have to give residence and work permits to all 300
strikers, and cease the criminalization of their supporters. The
Greek State must accept the fact that everybody has the right to
live and work where they please.
We’re hoping that the migrants’ struggle will proliferate all over
Europe – and win. The racist war that EU is leading against all
migrants must come to an end: No one is illegal!
