Yesterday evening, two strikers were taken to hospital
As the 300 immigrants’ shocking struggle is now entering its final run,
the Government persists on its path of intolerance and anesthesia.
Every day that passes, the hunger strikers demonstrate through their actions
that they meant what they said at the mobilization’s onset:
There is no way that they will backtrack if not vindicated.
Yesterday evening, yet two more hunger strikers were taken
to the Nikaia General State Hospital with symptoms of exhaustion and dehydration.
At this moment of truth, the immigrant workers’ only support is their
unbending spirit and ever-growing nationwide and international wave of solidarity.
On Wednesday 23 / 2, the day of the general strike,
Solidarity Initiative 300 calls for the formation of a *bloc*
at the labor gathering and demonstrations.
We will meet at *11:00 at Ipeirou and Patission* to declare that:
* Immigrants must be legalized and gain equal rights.
* Victory for the 300 will be victory for all workers and will
help the entire labor movement to fight for better positions the next day.
* Immigrants are an integral part of the working class,
participating in mobilizations against the Memorandum and the anti-labor attack that the Government,
bosses and the EU have unleashed.
* It is not the immigrants that drop wages but racism and splitting the working class.
The 300 immigrant hunger strikers can and must win!
