The 25th of January is the day on which 300 migrants in Greece started a hunger strike. Their demand is a collective legalisation of all the people excluded from Greek society based on their status – be it asylum seekers, not recognised refugees, illegalised people, exploited migrant labourers. The mass hunger strike of the 300 migrant workers begins tomorrow. It’s a struggle of our fellow migrants citizens, who outstretch a hand of friendship and solidarity to the greek society. It’s on everyone’s common interest (natives’ and migrants’) to get out of the grey zone. It’s the only way to fight against undeclared employment (“black work”), exclusion and every form of exploitation. Ιt’s time to answer to all these dangerously increasing racist voices.
